PLACEMENT POLICY

12-month placement replacement.

A straightforward policy for the specific case where a delivered guest post or backlink is removed or goes offline.

The 12-month rule

If a guest post or backlink is removed or goes offline within 12 months of the original placement date, FlyingFish SEO will provide a comparable replacement that meets the originally purchased tier requirements.

Covered

  • The full guest post is removed.
  • The placement page becomes unavailable or returns an offline/not-found response.
  • The backlink is removed by the publisher while the page remains live.

Not covered

  • Future changes in Ahrefs DR or estimated organic traffic.
  • Ranking, traffic, indexing, or other SEO outcomes.
  • A new target URL or anchor requested after delivery.
  • Client-side changes or removal of the target page.

How metrics are treated

Ahrefs DR and estimated organic traffic are measured at the time of placement. A later change in those metrics does not trigger a replacement.

Comparable replacement

A replacement is intended to meet the requirements of the tier originally purchased. It does not guarantee the same domain, the same future metrics, or the same SEO outcome as the original placement.

Coverage period after replacement

A replacement does not restart or extend the original 12-month coverage period. Coverage continues to run from the date of the original placement.

Requesting a replacement

Contact FlyingFish SEO with the affected live URL and order reference so the placement can be checked against the policy.
